Janmesh D. Patel, BS, is an MD candidate at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He graduated with a bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Madison. He is currently participating in a research fellowship at University of California Davis and the Sacramento VA Medical Center. His research bridges dermatology, engineering, and clinical informatics, including microfluidic models, melanoma and immunotherapy outcomes, and AI supported dermatology workflows. He collaborates with mentors across UW on translational platforms and large database studies, with presentations at regional, national, and international meetings. His long term goal is to integrate engineering and AI into patient centered dermatology to advance equitable care.
