About
I am an experimentalist with over 14 years of professional experience in the design and execution of studies addressing human disease. I am driven by problems and challenges, seeking information, and learning new technology as needed to accomplish my goals. My curiosity and creativity are what has made me successful in contributing to diverse biomedical fields, including human studies, skin, lipid, stem cell, and cancer biology. The ability to think critically both in terms of ideation and data analysis has allowed me to tackle difficult problems. I have collaborated with diverse groups of scientists and non-scientists in academia, industry, and public health and medicine, balancing different approaches and perspectives to solve problems and move programs forward.
As a project leader, mentor, and instructor, I have guided preclinical safety and basic studies, educational programs, and training activities for various stakeholders and audiences. I have also leveraged my expertise to serve on nonprofit initiatives that promote education, health outcomes and awareness. My career goals are to pursue solutions to problems that can make positive impacts in the world through science, research, and education.
