Dr. Tamara Terzian, PhD in Biomedical Engineering, is Executive Director of The Sun Bus and a cancer biologist with more than two decades of experience in genetics, cancer biology, dermatology, and biomedical education. She leads initiatives that integrate academic research with community-based outreach, providing free skin screenings, education, and sun protection resources. Formerly an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, Dr. Terzian co-founded and directed the Gates Summer Internship Program, led the Biomedical Sciences and Biotechnology Graduate Programs, and has mentored numerous students through biomedical research and public health initiatives focused on skin health, cancer prevention, and training future healthcare professionals in dermatology.
