The most serious skin cancer, often dark or uneven in color or shape, can change quickly. May spread if not found early. Immediate evaluation is vital—early melanomas are highly curable.
Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC)
A firm, rough, or scaly growth that can become tender, grow quickly, or bleed. Can develop on areas of long-term sun exposure or old scars. Prompt removal prevents spread and reduces risk of complications.
Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC)
The most common skin cancer, often seen as a shiny, pink, or scabby spot that slowly enlarges and may bleed or fail to heal. May be brown or black on darker skin tones. Early treatment prevents deeper invasion and scarring.
